Mission Outreach Ministries

FPCE has a Mission Outreach Ministries committee that spends countless hours devoted to developing closer relationships with our various mission partners in the community and creating opportunities for our members to participate in community programs that assist others. Our goal is to be Christ for the world today. Some of these activities include:

Our members conduct numerous collections throughout the year for the Pantry, including food, toiletries, cleaning products and school supplies. We have been providing sandwiches to area families at the Pantry on the fourth Monday of every month for many years.

FPCE has at least one diaper drive every year for Kindercottage. A favorite annual mission for our members is the Angel Tree in which we purchase Christmas gifts for a number of the children at Kindercottage and gift cards for their parents.

Many years ago, FPCE formed a partnership with Columbus School and developed a mentoring program for children at the school. The kids and the mentors alike cherish the bonds created by this experience.

P.A.L. Mentoring

In 2019, FPCE was honored by the Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery as a Certified Hunger Action Congregation based upon the valuable mission work of our congregation.
